Feb 14, 2010 - Most processed foods have GM in them. Best to avoid them whenever possible. The big '4': soy, corn, canola and cotton are in most processed foods. Cotton makes an oil for food mfg, not just clothing. Vote with your wallet. Buy organics. Let farmers know you won't purchase GM foods. If farmers don't grow GM, Monsanto is gone. Seeds contain thousands of years of info: how to grow: how to survive: how to feed us. Our food was never broken. It didn't need 'fixing'.

Well the seeds we use today are not the same as ppl used a couple of hundred years ago. and we have fixed the seeds for several thousand years whitout gmo. most seeds we use today woulde die in the wilde due to natural selection. if you think gmo is bad cuz its not natural,then hate to break it to u but agriculture is not natural..

It's been proven time and time again by panels of the world's most respected scientists, not corporate shills for Monsanto, that GE foods have absolutely no deleterious health impacts. GE is just a more precise form of conventional breeding techniques, it just lets you draw from a larger pool of organism. Research is key here.

Mar 1, 2010 - Genetic modification is actually not going to affect you directly, your right about that. What it could do is affect the bacteria inside you that usually helps you digest food. So a vegetable modified to make its own pesticide could pass that gene onto the bacteria and then you have a pesticide factory right inside you.

Mar 1, 2010 - I went to the dollar store today and got some food. i always read the nutrition label. I wanted some cookies so I went to the isle where they were and read all the labels not being surprised to find they all had high fructose corn syrup. There was one brand of cookies that was sugar free and I deemed to be free of any harmful ingredients. I almost bought it but it was priced a lot higher then the fucked up cookies.
